.50 Caliber Buffalo Bullet Designed
Dave Higginbotham and David Beasley of Lone Star Rifle Company have designed a new
.50 caliber, 715 grain bullet available through NEI handtools.
Today's Date -- Dave Higginbotham, President of Lone Star Rifle,
announced the development of a new .50 caliber bullet mould available through NEI Handtools as the Higginbotham/Lone Star #378B.
This bullet has a round, bore riding nose design. Recoil can be punishing when fronting
100 grains of Goex Cartridge in a .50-90 case.
The .50 is based on the tried and true .45 500 grain Government bullet popular for
.45-70 rifles.
